This month I am so pleased to have the opportunity to have my latest session : VIVA published in Ellements Magazine NYC. Elléments Magazine is a New York & Toronto based fashion, glamour, art & entertainment magazine. They compile content that is an inclusive, relatable, visually diverse representative of reality by featuring editorials from upcoming creative talent across the globe.

Therefor I was happy to partake on this opportunity to have my set: Viva chosen as one of those sets to be displayed. When this session was shot, wow.. it was quite wild. I never shot on a day so windy before, plus having to improvise on some shots without the use of reflectors. Which was good news for PM, my photo assistant. So it was just me, mother nature & my wonderful model Ashley (APM MODELS/NYC). It turned out to be a good 3 to 4 hour session and we as a team produced some luscious materials.

Having this being my first published shoot, I say I am content but as always must continue to strive and push myself for better. I am happy to introduce my work this way~!

A Unique Experience - FMA : Sacred Star of Milos  

This stellar connection between the Elric Brothers is what connects us all. It opened my eyes to the loving connection we should all share with those who are closest to us. The fight we must partake everyday to keep those we love safe. It goes to show that even in death..

All is one and one is all.. stated a young alchemist just on the verge of partaking in one of the most passionate adventures any one could dream of. This stellar connection between the Elric Brothers is what connects us all. It opened my eyes to the loving connection we should all share with those who are closest to us. The fight we must partake everyday to keep those we love safe. It goes to show that even in death.. all is connected.

You would have never figured how I became a hard-core -- I mean hard core Fullmetal Alchemist Fan. It  came as sort of a surprise .. because at this time I was deeply into Naruto. Yep the whisker guy ... And I was gazing about and witnessed a great teaser for Fullmetal Alchemist and just thought hmmm.. Really thats all I thought  at that time was hmmm... I did not get the chance to experience it till about three months after it had already been released. By that time it wasintroduced as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and foolishly I had no knowledge of the former produced version till after I was addicted.

From the very first episode it was like me finding the philosophers stone.. sparks flew through my body.. I felt so connected and in-tuned to the Elric Brothers. It was such a nerd-tastic moment. Being  rushed and thrown into the world of alchemy tied along with government conspiracy, dark philosophy and humorous mischief was all too alluring to me. In addition to that, the passionate storyline just rocked my soul. This manga touched topics that were true to real life in airidescent manner. It flowed through me so to speak.. it was like I was feeling knowledge pouring through me…..

Since then I have been a fan.. a hardcore fan.. It has touched my life and opened my mind since I do tend to find a unique philosophy in everything.. Fullmetal Alchemist gave me the manga love I needed so much in my life. And since I am abstinent.. thats a lot of loving...

And just like a movie.. because yes.. life is a movie… at times.. well .. ok let me start over.. Just like a movie.. I was invited to share in the experience that I never thought in a billion light years  would come to me.. the opportunity to experience the first red carpet movie premiere for Fullmetal Alchemist: Sacred Star of Milos at the Downtown Independent in Los Angeles. First it was like a dream.. I was like.. did I cross over?.. am I about to lose an arm.. or a leg? Surreal .. I felt like a great big light was shining upon me..(ok I told you…  Hardcore Fan here)

Who would of thought I would be bumping elbows with Masahiko Minami, Kazuya Murata, Justin Rojas, Soulja Boy and Aniplex. It was freaking solid!

I was truly honored. Truly :) Arriving at the event was spectacular.. All the energy was intact and filled with curiosity. Special guests arrived in style and were just as eager to watch this awesome new Fullmetal Alchemist Adventure!!! I had to say I might of overdressed a tad  but the moment deserved it. I got to shake hands and converse with the very people who created and made such a wonderful series. For instance, who would of thought i would be bumping elbows with Masahiko Minami, Kazuya Murata, Justin Rojas, Soulja Boy and Aniplex. It was freaking solid.  They even had an awesome Q&A before the show .. in which fans got a chance to ask questions to the directors and the voice over actors. I on the other hand was a bit too shy to ask but I had this awesome question.. I would like raise my hand.. then put it down.. and so on..  .. aww  ya know..lol..silly me..

(Warning slight spoiler alert.. slight, I say … .. so its tolerable!! read on)

I was very pleased and extremely thrilled with the Sacred Star of Milos. It was everything a Fullmetal Alchemist Fan would transmute for. I was especially delighted to see that Edward hadn't grown an inch.. and Alphonse was still the sweet compassionate person he has always been.

Then the big moment arrived.. When the lights went out and I prepared myself for this new adventure with my admirable Elric Brothers. Now I can not and will not provide any detailed spoilers but I can say my heart was beating heavily during theentire film. I was very pleased and extremely thrilled with the Sacred Star of Milos. It was everything a Fullmetal Alchemist Fan would transmute for. I was especially delighted to see that Edward hadn't grown an inch.. and Alphonse was still the sweet compassionate person he has always been.  This films also takes us back to revisit some of FMA favorable characters like Lt. Hawk-eye, Winry, and Roy Mustang. The fight scenes were solid  (like that train scene..  uh wow) and the storyline placed well into the established Fullmetal Alchemist family.  All and all it was well done.. very entertaining and a must see for any fan or newcomer to the Fullmetal Alchemist experience.  I enjoyed every last bit of this film and I command you to go see it and experience it for yourself~! Don't forget the popcorn~!
